From Berceto we went straight to the last one, the Cisio Pass at 1041 m. The highlight today, however, was the descent from the Ciso, new road surface, pleasant gradient of 6-8% and hardly any traffic. We were able to let it run properly and save the brakes. We stopped for a coffee in the old town of…

Today was another great day, 106 km, 1300 m altitude difference and a very strong wind, almost always from the front, plus temperatures of over 30 degrees. The first highlight, the crossing of the Po, on a dilapidated bridge that was only ever allowed to be used in one lane. Ideal for us cyclists in…

Yes, today it was finally over 100 km in the group. Only about 100 were planned, but last week's thunderstorm had caused windbreaks that could not be avoided.
But now from the beginning, started in the morning with heavy clouds and with the jacket towards the eastern shore of Lake Iseo. A brilliant cycle…

Today, after 5 km, we rolled onto the not-so-well-known Aprica Pass at 1276 m. The top of the pass is in the middle of town and is marked by an oversized wooden arch. There are always Giro arrivals here. Then we went quickly to Edolo in the Oglio Valley. Here we followed the Oglio further and further…

Today the king's stage over the Umbrail Pass. Yesterday's hotel was a bit off the main route. Hence the early morning bus transfer to the Swiss border. Then we went 8 km with an average of 8% in the direction of the pass. A breathtaking mountain landscape spread out in front of us. At the top of the…

Today there were two passes on the program, the Norbertshöhe and the Reschen. The first highlight was the former customs post Alt Finstermünz on the Austrian-Swiss border. On the rather unknown Norbertshöhe with 1405 m it went uphill in 11 hairpin bends. You almost didn't notice the Reschen. At the Reschensee…

We continue towards the Mediterranean, started today in light rain towards the Flexenpass. Before the pass the sun came out and of course the "pass" photo was easier to take. Unfortunately, we had to load our bikes on the access road from the Flexen Pass to the Arlberg Pass. Because the Arlberg tunnel…

Started today for the 12th crossing of the Alps by Fa Buck Radreisen on the Highline 179 in Reutte. In 10 days it goes over various passes to the Mediterranean Sea at Cinque Terre. Today we were on the road in a group of 16 in the best cycling weather.

Today the last half-stage started directly with a short, crisp climb to the Arnstein monastery. Soon we passed the beautifully spruced up Bad Ems. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay. The return journey with the DB from Koblenz was booked for 12:18 p.m. The mouth of the Lahn near Lahnstein and…

Rode along today at the monthly outing of the Swabian Alb Association local group Neuhausen. The nice weather had lured many cyclists to the meeting point. The goal, Haug's Schurwaldbesen in Lichtenwald, was of course also successful. In Lichtenwalld we saw some works of art on the cultural cycle path…
