The St. George's Fountain in Friedberg is a Baroque fountain dedicated to Saint George in the Reichsburg (Imperial Castle) of Friedberg. The fountain, made of red Main sandstone, was erected in 1738 under the Friedberg burgrave Hermann XVIII Riedesel, Baron of Eisenbach, in front of the burgraveship (also known as the castle). The fountain's master builder was Johann Philipp Wörrishöfer from Nauheim. The symmetrical floor plan of the basin, with 12 alternating convex and concave surfaces, gives the fountain a dynamic outline typical of the Baroque period.
