The Italian military cemetery was laid out in 1926 and restored in the summer of 2006. The geometric form of the ideal or heavenly city already chosen by Leonardo da Vinci was used. The 415 original tombstones are arranged around the obelisk, which is in the center, in a circle and in rays. Metal plaques with the names of the fallen complement the gravestones. About 1650 Italian soldiers and officers were buried on the approximately one hectare area next to the British military cemetery.

The British military cemetery was laid out in 1924 on an area of almost one hectare and is royal territory. The name South-Western Cemetery refers to the south-west of Berlin. However, the cemetery is on Stahnsdorfer Flur. Soldiers and officers of the British Empire who died in Germany during World War I were buried here in 1172. They died in internment camps and hospitals in the province of Brandenburg. Each of them has its own tombstone.

It was restored in 2013/2014 and looks like it was just laid out.
