GMaria rode one of my favorite tours with the bike group on Wednesday. Unfortunately, you can only drive the beautifully laid out riverside path under the Long Bridge towards Hermannswerder as far as the Speicherstadt, so GMaria immediately chose the upper cycle path over Leipziger Straße. At the first opportunity in Köllepark, however, we went to the water and - because it was so beautiful - the riverside path to the Hermannswerder island. In Caputh, too, she drove all the riverside paths that we occasionally pushed - because only hiking trails ... I didn't know that the wooden bridges in front of Ferch had meanwhile been renewed from non-sliding material. I haven't ridden the tour for a few years. I had never sat in the Haus am See on the west bank of the Schwielowsee either - I liked the atmosphere. There was an opportunity for a swim in the Petzow Castle Park, which I gladly used despite the water becoming green. Maybe the last time this year?
Up to Potsdam it was always close to the shore - it's always nice! From the mosque, Krauter took the lead and drove to a few places in the exhibition on 30 years of reunification. It went back again with the almost empty RB22; I still use FFP2 mask. Safety first ..
Arrival and departure again each 6km - so a total of 48km.

Yesterday we were on historical tracks in the center of Berlin. We got hold of two tickets for a one-hour tour in the former State Council building for the Open Monument Day. It had three interesting uses: by the State Council Chairman of the GDR from 1964 (Ulbricht and others), by Gerhard Schröder from 1999 and a management school from 2006 to today. We found the architecture astonishingly timeless and the materials dignified. It's amazing that the very flat glass pictures and friezes by Walter Womacka and others have been preserved. And a large GDR emblem on the wall! It was a very successful tour with many interested parties.
We took advantage of the nice weather and the atmosphere and strolled to other historical places in the center: Lutter & Wegner from around 1820, the Mendelssohn bank, the (Jewish) fashion center on Hausvogteiplatz until 1933, where you can still recognize the large department stores by their outlines, and to the baroque colonnades in the (still) Mohrenstrasse.
      We came home satisfied ...

My recommendation of the day: At the moment it is worth going back to Werder on the Wachtelberg. The variety of ripe grapes is magnificent! 🍇🍇 Both a short walk through the vines and a stop at the Besenwirtschaft with spring whites and onion tarts ...
There we walked the asphalt road and back finally again - like before - the stairs with the beautiful view. The path is not closed, but it is designated as a private path for the Wachtelburg and, unfortunately, is neglected. It will certainly no longer be accessible soon. 😪😪

After Petrus screwed up a tour in Brandenburg today, we spontaneously drove one of our favorite laps: Science City Adlershof, Teltow Canal, Plänterwald, Treptower Harbor. There the Löcknitzfischer offers freshly smoked food and fish rolls again. He supposedly always does that - but on our last tour his hut was closed and the cyclists were traumatized! 😫😫😫
So this time we could feast on the delicacy ... 😏 That was enough to ask the question after the beautiful route on the banks of Alt-Stralau: WHY IS THERE NO SIGN ON THE ISLAND WHERE THE SPREETUNNEL TO ZENNER IS? ?
At the marina we waited for the next Husche Regen and then drove on the R1 through the Wuhlheide, past the FEZ and after the Spindlersbrücke on the Spree and the laundry Spindler-Rewatex area under renovation to Köllnischer Platz. In Grünau on Ammerseestr. we tried the delicious, but too firm ice cream from a small ice cream manufacturer, which is sold with a trustworthy cash register - also for bitcoins! My cucumber ice cream tasted very good!
And since we still had time until the announced rain, we tested whether we like the new management of Café Liebig. Conclusion: test passed.
So it was a beautiful day all around, which quickly makes you forget the few rain flies.

Today on foot in Blossin, to explore the beautiful corners that we imagined 2 weeks ago. The path on Lake Wolziger, on the Blossiner Fliess to Sauwinkel and on the other side also on the Blossiner Fliess towards Kolberg is beautiful. But then the shoes were wet because no one had dried the tall grass for us! Der The walk through the youth education center was also interesting, which makes you want to be a child again and go on a school trip.

Today for the first time again with R., who is in top shape after rehabilitation. I first had to adjust to their pace again. Was fun. With pleasure again! 👏
On the Teltow Canal, however, the bike rides almost alone, so it's just fun to pedal together in the same rhythm.

A nice tour at 23 degrees. The first section, which was hardly accessible, was totally quaint. The paths in the northern part were also very overgrown. OK for walking, but marginal for the bike at the moment. I had not yet discovered the small lake in which a great egret stood peacefully.
      It was nice.
... and then there was another 20 km to and from the bike: now I can put my feet up! 🥱

In ideal weather, we (risk group) used the (half-empty) S-Bahn to KW for the first time since the beginning of the Corona. From KW on we did not ride the official Dahmeradweg, but always as close as possible to the shore through Neue Mühle, Zernsdorf and Kablow. I like that much better. The wonderful section through the forest to Bindow is of course always beautiful. Then it was 5 kilometers on a hiking trail through the forest over the Blossiner Stieg (Fontaneweg). Since it had rained a lot yesterday, the amount of sand was kept within limits.
In Blossin am Wolziger See (inconsistent! No Dahmesee) we sat and dined excellently - arriving early ensures good seats.
The neighboring small bathing area wanted to seduce us, but we resisted despite the clear water, as well as (after the 3km road section without a bike path) in Kolberg and Prieros. The way to Prieros is mostly smooth, only natural at the end. From Prieros we drove the beautiful section of the Dahmeradweg to Bindow, of course with a traditional break in front of the ferry house in Dolgenbrodt.
And at Siestsee we finally jumped into the water - also an amazingly clean lake. So we had enough fresh courage for the hideous 2km section on the L40 to Senzig. Question: why is there still no bike path there? 😡
Senzig himself relaxing as always, even if the riverside path is not the first choice for the bike - I think it's beautiful.
The rest of the way the bike found itself - almost always straight on the bike path on the busy L40 - beautiful is different. But somehow you have to go back. The section through the zoo then made up for it. Conclusion: my fellow cyclists enjoyed the tour; I can recommend them.

Today, as a group, we drove for the first time through the Friedersdorfer Forest behind Wernsdorf. We have hiked here several times and I have also cycled several times with Lothar via Uckley to Zernsdorf. Rbke has tried a different route today: first along the Oder-Spree Canal and then past two wind turbines and blackberry hedges with ripe blackberries 😋😋 over the Großer Stern to a motorway crossing that I did not know. Even if the path was partly sandy or paved with split - I always enjoy driving new paths.
At 27 degrees the bathing in Zernsdorfer Lankensee was perfect and the cyclist tasted at "Mama Mia".
I didn't know the two hidden clay ponds either, and the path along them was very pretty. So we came directly to the pretty riverside path in front of the Neue Mühle lock, which I love very much and always enjoy driving.
Then surprise: as often as I drove to the KW train station: I had never noticed the memorial stone for the plane crash of 1972.
So it is: you only see what you know ...
The way back was over the Funkerberg on mostly quiet side streets. I suggested that because it is one of my favorite routes between KW and Bohnsdorf. Highlight: the ice cream parlor near Miersdorfer See..😋😋😋
