Nice hike through the Ravensberge and in detail over the Hermannswerder peninsula. It's nice that boards with the eventful history have been put up next to a number of houses.

A nice little round - first through a beautiful green moss forest area, but with the hum of the motorway in your ear. The second part went through beech forest on a path that was not so clearly recognizable through a small ravine.
The wild boar bakery is highly recommended. However, this is not for vegetarians. 😉

Highly recommended hike! First the Fontanewanderweg on the Schmöldesee, then across the forest to the Frauensee and back to the starting point on its south bank. I didn't even know the Schmöldesee and was enthusiastic about its diverse appearance depending on the perspective.

Friendship Island, Sanssouci Park with Chinese Tea House, Potsdam University in the Communes, Alexandrowska with wonderful Schti soup 😋, then through the "Forbidden City" - officially "Military Town No. 7", the New Garden with a walk around the Cäcilienhof Palace. After the Glienicke Bridge and the Glienicke Hunting Lodge, I walked past the villas of former Neubabelsberg, past the Babelsberg observatory and then through the Babelsberg Park to the Potsdam train station, where the Berliners left me. It was a beautiful, sunny, cold day! Let's see how often we can still cycle before winter. 🤔

It is astonishing that there are no graves in the Russian cemetery of the dead who fell during the fighting for Berlin. Only a central memorial. But there is an alarming number of graves of young men who have died - in times of peace.
In preparation for a later hike, I went back over the area on Telegrafenberg. For those interested in the history of technology: some houses are open for the Open Monument Day. The large refractor is of course particularly impressive.

Having become aware of a Komoot highlight from Cornell Paasche today, we chose a lap (initially along the Nuthe) through two Potsdam cemeteries.
In the old cemetery there is a pretty stele that reminds of the Potsdam maid Eleonore Prochaska.
Eleonore Prochaska fought in the Liberation War against Napoleon as "August Renz" in the Lützow Freikorps and died of an injury while trying to rescue a comrade.
In addition to a few individual graves, the war cemetery at the New Cemetery was interesting for me. A large cemetery that was laid out for the fallen of the First World War.

A nice round trip to and from Potsdam Central Station that is highly recommended. With Babelsberg Park, Glienicke Hunting Lodge, Glienicke Bridge, New Garden with Ermitage and Cäcilienhof, riverside path to Neufahrland, New Palace, Kaiserbahnhof, riverside path at Lake Templin, mosque. The road section Amudsenstraße of approx. 4km leads partly on a cycle path and otherwise on a road with moderate traffic. The tour is only 23km long without the journey to the train station - but can be easily extended by exploring the parks, extending the section on Lake Templin, etc.
And if the weather is nice ... 👌

Sorry, I couldn't find a peacock - and thought that a rooster would too 🤔🤣A nice classic tour that we haven't run for a long time and that is highly recommended. The weather was also ideal.

A great spectacle - but unfortunately only in the sky. The 8000 cranes did not settle nearby ... 😪

A nice walk near the Potsdam forest city through the settlements that were built in the 20s and 30s of the last century. The Eigenheim housing estate, the Saarlandanger war disabled settlement, the unemployed settlement "Am Stadtrand" and the settlement on Drewitzer Str .. All very homogeneous, architecturally interesting settlements.
