The former Armsheim pilgrimage church of the Holy Blood was planned under the reign of Count Palatine Stephan and Count Friedrich von Veldenz, under the ecclesiastical leadership of Archbishop Conrad of Mainz and Pastor Conrad Odenkemmer. Construction of the high, spacious choir began in 1431. Further information can be found at regionalgeschichte.net - Cultural Monuments. Services are still held today in the Armsheim Protestant Church. A display case indicates where you can pick up the key for an interior tour.
