Here stands a long "Table of Wine" and a lounger. A beautiful resting place with a great panorama.On the subject of sarcophagi - the sign on the tree describes the following: During a vineyard relocation in 1978, three adjacent sarcophagi were discovered and excavated on the top of the "Greifenberg" hill (here). Examination by employees of the Mainz State Office for Monuments and Historic Buildings revealed that they date back to the 4th century AD. One of the sarcophagi now stands in the Sulzheim cemetery. The grave goods, glass jug, and glass vial are on display in the museum in Alzey.
