It is not far from the cloud house and thus in the immediate vicinity of the Goethe memorial stone. A larger-than-life bronze portrait of the poet as well as his signature and the year of his birth and death were attached to the mighty boulder. The Heine monument can also be seen as the end point of the Heinrich Heine hiking trail that leads up from Ilsenburg to the Brocken.
