Germany's only narrow-gauge railway, which has its terminus on a summit with alpine climate. For 41 euros she brings lazy and railway romantics up and down again. A track is available for 26 euros.

Seeing the Brockenbahn on the way up is one thing - riding along is a completely different experience.

There are only a few days a year, where you have a clear view from the Brocken. I had one of these :)

The weather station is already very old, which belongs to the Brocken as the Brocken garden behind it. I think that I remember that this garden is also open to the public ...

The HSB (Harz Narrow Gauge Railways) have parked a boiler wagon with extinguishing water on the Brocken for any accidents. The wagon stands on a trolley.
This boiler wagon was only in Drei Annen Hohne and was subsequently painted by the HSB.
It serves solely the extinguishing agent reserve and is driven down in winter again.

Most of the time the year prevails on the Brocken fog / poor visibility, but if you catch a good and clear day, then you can see quite well up to 100 km. Obligatory is the pea soup with buck sausage.
