Tomorrow it should be much windier again and in the evening there should also be precipitation 🌧. So just go today.....the conditions were great. Almost a bit too mild, hardly any wind and at the end the full moon even showed up briefly. The destination was my favorite quarry again after a long time.
The descent into the quarry was the highlight.
With my new helmet lamp it was the first time. Thanks again to John for the tip. I never want to go through the dark without her again.

Rocked the Ost-Elm-Trails again today after a long time. With the wind 💨💨💨 and the weather ☁️☁️ there were hardly any alternatives.
The tour in Ost-Elm is my absolute favorite tour with almost 50% trail share and I was pleasantly surprised...I expected a lot more mud.
By the way, the pictures are adapted to today's weather.

If you want to get trails under your tires, that is, halfway drivable, then you have to make good choices at the moment. Aces is always possible ...... actually. Today even those were really soapy in places. Add to that the soup ..... made it very demanding today‼ ️
Still, fun was not neglected.

On the way to the Tetzelstein it wasn't clear to us whether there was still snow up in the Elm. But in fact, it is still white❄, albeit very soft. In some places where the sun didn't come, the snow was still nice and firm. But afterwards I decided to hang my planned MTB tour on the hook. The coming week should be more constant 🌤.

Tour opening '22 with a long-cherished wish. From home to Velpker Switzerland, where I felt I haven't been for several decades.
I could certainly have made a lot more detours, but I took a lot with me.Today, for once again, there are more pictures although I have already singled out a lot. Is owed to the tour.I tried to move mainly on trails and gravel roads. On such a tour, of course, there are also bike paths and roads.
The soft gravel and grass paths took a lot of strength. On the way back there was also a nasty wind, so that I put the way back a little more on bike paths. In conclusion, I can say that I will soon go exploring again on foot. From an on-site parking space, of course.

Actually, I already had a catch in '21 Only for that the weather was just too good today. So take a look at the to-do list and head to Lappwald.
Unfortunately I caught the flatfoot virus at Lappwaldsee and did it twice 😡. I immediately fell in love with my battery pump, which was used for the first time today.
As for the Lappwald ..... I often have to stick to the Helmstedt, very interesting.
The absolute highlight for me today is the ruins of the Walbeck collegiate church.
I made the way back a little easier. The gravel roads have really tasted grains today 🥵

I think for me that was the last tour in '21. The weather forecast for the next few days doesn't look that great.Today's tour had a nice touch of winter again and the icing on the cake was a beautiful sunset.I wish everyone a peaceful end to the year and I am already looking forward to a great and hopefully not so restricted year 2022🍀🎊🥂

The idea ...... from source to source would be 3.2km as the crow flies. Since we already know every pebble there was only the way with the water. Started shortly after 7h at the Schunter spring, brought the draft horse Ralf into the boat at Süpplingenburg and continued towards Walle where the Schunter flows into the Oker. Then along the Oker over some beautiful paths and trails towards the WF glider airfield where the Altenau flows into the Oker. From now on it got more difficult for me, but I have the draft horse Ralf with me. So towards Altenau-Quelle and then with the last daylight broken but happy arrived. Now Ralf sent on his rest of the stage and off home. Total length of the tour with arrival and departure: 146km😅Ralf ..... thank you for accompanying us on this extraordinary but beautiful tour.
