The Johann Christian Reinhart Gymnasium (high school) was located on Longoliusplatz until 1975; previously, the Oberrealschule (high school for girls) was housed here. The building, whose entrance still bears the inscription "Höhere Schule für Mädchen" (Higher School for Girls), is therefore still commonly called the "Besenstall" (broom stable). Completely renovated in 2010, the building now houses most classes of the Hof technical and vocational high schools.
