The old merchant's house in Lauenburg's picturesque old town is a lovingly and originally restored town house from 1652.
It was built in the Renaissance style and rebuilt in 1769 in the then modern Baroque style. These renovations were carried out by the then owner, a cloth merchant. Today it is the only originally restored and furnished town house from this period
