All roads in Lauenburg eventually lead to the water, to the Elbe!
Centuries ago, merchants, boatmen and tradesmen,
including barrel makers, beer brewers, shipbuilders and fishermen, settled on its banks.
Located directly at the east portal to the historic old town of Lauenburg is one of the oldest houses - the ferryman's house from 1649.
The house was completely restored in 2003 and converted into a hotel with 10 rooms "and now looks quite nice".

The house was completely renovated in 2003 and converted into a hotel with 10 rooms. In the following years we have repeatedly restored and improved it so that the charm of the old building is preserved!
