The Mensingsche house was named after the original owner. There are documents attesting that it was built in 1573. A barber was active here for a long time. This is the old job title of a hairdresser. The lovingly restored and decorated half-timbered house as well as the location in the heart of the old town of Lauenburg make the house a popular photo motif. This was already the case at the turn of the century when the Elbe flood reached its safely documented high. There are also photos from this period. Today there is an ice cream parlor here, which ensures a popular cooling off during sightseeing in the summer months.
