Initially as a "roundel", a semicircular tower open to the city, integrated into the inner wall of the city fortifications as a defensive structure, Abbot Benedikt Rischer created a refuge here in 1750 and thus a recently rediscovered gem. For this reason, the vernacular gave this "garden house" the name Prelate's Tower.
