Wow, the 5th tour along the Prim river was quite something - always along the riverbank where possible - wild sections where there was no longer a path, partly in the undergrowth following the beaver tracks - again 4 friendly conversations with hikers about this area - 2 geocaches found - now just one

Today the sun was shining, so I quickly headed out for my fourth hike along the Prim River towards Rottweil. And yes, the rare views of the buildings and the landscape are always found off the beaten track, on the hilltops overlooking the valleys. I've left out all the litter along the edges of the paths

The last time I was here was in March 2019

We had our annual meeting at the Black Forest Association in Donaueschingen on Friday – that's how I got the idea today to head to the Gauchach Gorge, taking a shortcut out through the narrow gorge. Today was my fourth run on this route above the Gutach River to the confluence with the Rötenbach stream – then along the Wutach River to the confluence of the Gutach and Haslach rivers. I had originally planned to go to the Rottweil City Museum, but there was a guided tour in progress and the door was locked. So I went to Café Schädle – homemade cake – took a half-hour break, and then headed back to the parking lot. On the way, I stopped to look inside both churches.

It's always great to do a trail run in the Wutach Gorge in winter. Everything was nicely frozen today – especially the footprints with their icy edges :-)) The Tannegger Waterfall was beautifully sculpted by ice. And up at the sports field, the sky was beautiful with the sunset.

Today, an adventure underground in the mine – we registered online in December and were the only visitors today. The guided tour and explanations of the mine's history and events were very comprehensive and detailed. If you're in Haslach, you absolutely must visit the mine. You'll emerge from the mountain
