The Noordbrabants Museum is located in an elegant eighteenth-century government palace in the center of medieval 's-Hertogenbosch, making it ideal for combining with a visit to the Brabant capital. The museum is known for the award-winning exhibition 'Jheronimus Bosch – Visions of a Genius', which ran throughout 2016 and received great reviews such as “A remarkable curatorial feat” (The Wall Street Journal) and “C'est l'exposition de l'année” (Beaux-Arts Magazine). Located under the same roof as the Design Museum Den Bosch, the two museums together form one of the largest cultural attractions in the Netherlands, with more than 5000 square meters of exhibition space.
The Noordbrabants Museum collects objects and artefacts related to the art, history and culture of North Brabant and the Southern Netherlands. The museum collection includes more than 30,000 objects, such as paintings, prints, drawings, textiles, etc.

The collection also includes surprisingly Dutch Design with Brabant roots and – as the only museum location in the South of the Netherlands – some original works by Vincent van Gogh.

The renewed permanent exhibition Van Gogh in Brabant shows the strong bond between Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) and his native province. In addition to 12 works by Van Gogh, letters, personal documents, photos, animations and other objects are also shown.
