About Ria van den Heuvel

Today we went for a walk along and just across the German border. We parked the car in the parking lot at Elten train station.

The name sounded so familiar, but it only rang a bell when I saw a sign for the Pieterpad, especially near the lookout tower and the picnic table. So many wonderful memories came

Today we visited Het Loo Palace. The last time we were there was just before the restoration. Now we were able to enjoy a renovated and refreshed palace, the displayed vehicles, and the stables. The dress code was explained in a spacious hall, giving everyone (it was crowded!) the opportunity to take

We skipped this area on a previous visit due to lack of time. Today we had time and no rain forecast, so a good reason to visit Reindersmeer. It was wonderfully peaceful, and we leisurely strolled from Well through the Maasduinen to the ferry. We'd been told the crossing on the manually operated ferry

The Orange Committee organized the annual pea soup walk today. The route was 100% paved and followed the polder roads of our municipality. It wasn't exciting, but it was a lot of fun with Loes, Giel, and Hans, except that Hans had to drop out halfway through.

      Halfway through, participants enjoyed coffee

Today we went for another walk in Mill... famous for the many (foot) visits to Viasana. We thought we'd seen everything there, but thanks to 🙏👍, there was still an undiscovered area for us.

This walk was mostly paved, interspersed with beautiful unpaved paths, interesting sights

Despite the forecast rain, we didn't see a drop during our walk around Gemonde.

We'd been to this area before, but because we didn't want to stray too far from home, we explored a different corner in Gemonde.

The paths were alternately paved, unpaved, and, for a change, muddy 😁. Walking along the Dommel

The world was small this morning, perfect for a short walk in the area. We headed towards Alem, passing the brick oven and via the Rossumse dike (Rome), returning home without a break. The bread and coffee were delicious there.

I had another walk planned for . The distance was manageable, both by car and by foot. Just a quick jaunt, as is customary lately.

It was cold this morning, especially if you're not used to it. But it resulted in some beautiful pictures around Beek en Donk.

      The start was good

Today we took a short break from all the chores. It was nice to get some fresh air in the surrounding area. We walked past the cow that had been knocked over by the ponies to the Zandmeren lakes. It's always lovely there for a short walk and to recharge the batteries.

Between two jobs, we took some time today to enjoy the beautiful weather. We opted for a lovely walk (thank you 👍) that had been planned for a while, albeit slightly modified.

We started from the parking lot near the Osscher Meer lake, also known as Ossemeer, and walked straight into a beautiful nature
