With the construction of the Eberswalde–Frankfurt (Oder) railway line starting in 1866, the establishment of a train station in Wriezen became necessary. The line to Eberswalde opened on January 1, 1867, followed by the line to Frankfurt/Oder in 1876. In 1892, the lines to Jädickendorf and Berlin (Wriezen Railway) began operations. The foundation stone for the station building was laid on August 26, 1895, and the station was inaugurated on September 15, 1895. From 1911, the Oderbruch Railway from Golzow and Seelow also ended in Wriezen. In 1945, the station was completely destroyed, rebuilt in 1950, and inaugurated on September 1, 1951. Today, the station is merely a stop for the RB60 of the NEB (Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn). The station building is a listed building and is currently not in use. Source: Citizen Information Wriezen
