The fountain on the Platz der Deutschen Einheit: The 11-meter-high stainless steel structure seems to float in the water basin like a huge ship with gleaming sails. Three prism triangles of different heights reflect the light. Large and small fountains gush between them. This gives the object an almost immaterial character despite its dimensions. The sails were interpreted as a symbol for the division of Germany into three parts after the Second World War. The water basin takes up the triangular shape of the sails.
