And again it drove me to this edge, but this time I walked other paths (last hike there 06/04/2021, komoot.de/tour/384873868).
The tour around the Höhenfelder See is highly recommended. You always walk close to the shore and you can see the individual places where people romp around to lie down, grill and bathe very well.

This tour took me to the Wahner Heide. Mainly I hiked the Eilerberg tour (dragonfly symbol). This looks a bit disreputable on its own.
But the start and end station was Rösrath, which makes the entire work look like an elephant with a trunk.
The tour was very quiet with mostly forest. Everything is very nice and balanced.

Here the forest botanical garden was the main goal. I kept very close to the Kölnpfad stage 1 (hike on February 25, 2019 "komoot.de/tour/57460111").
Then the absolute highlight of the tour, a peacock turns a full wheel in the forest botanical garden. I have never taken so close and such great pictures of a peacock.
Then to the Fritz-Encke-Volkspark, there I wanted to see whether the fountain was running in the fountain pavilion. Bad luck, complete construction site (without scaffolding you can see the pictures on my hike on June 3rd, 2018 "komoot.de/tour/64415914").
Then it went on to the Vorgebiergspark, where the rose garden was the goal. Unfortunately there weren't any roses left and probably won't.
Finally visited the church bunker in Marktstrasse and then to the bus on Bonner Strasse.

This hike had two states, either it was great and interesting or it was just boring.
But this year it was my second 30km hike.
Benrath Palace is of course great, as is the Urdenbacher Kämpe. But the way past the nature reserve to the Fleher Bridge was well.
I found the crowds in Zons very funny and especially in the ferry from Zohns to Urdenbach. The palace park was also very well attended.
Here, too, the entire outdoor catering was open on the entire wall.

This fourth hike along the Sieg is also the last. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to walk from Rosbach directly along the Sieg to Siegen. Then there are always only one-off pieces. It's a shame. But I will soon continue with the Natursteig Sieg, there I still have a few more stages to go.
This route was again characterized by a lot of variety. It was really great that the Sieg was very well filled, so the Siegwasserfall in Schladern finally earned its name.
Incidentally, the outdoor catering in Schladern was already open.

After I had already done two hikes on the banks of the Sieg (komoot.de/tour/182082599) & (komoot.de/tour/185832708), today I chose one third tour decided which went from Blankenberg on the left bank of the river upstream to Herchen.
There were beautiful paths and views. Walking in the valley was a feast for the eyes.
Except for the descent at KM 8, which was really tough because the path was very narrow and it was still steep down (since I had to concentrate on the path, there are no photos of the worst parts), everything else was great relaxing flat. So I was a little faster this time.
I can only recommend this route.

I didn't want to do a great high altitude hike. So I decided to do a lap in the Wahner Heide. The first 8 kilometers were a bit boring, but from then on the Wahner Heide began. Very varied paths and views. With the airport (at KM 15.4 also with a view of the cathedral!), A Panzerwaschstrasse and the great view from Telegrafenberg. It was a really nice round. The toughest thing about this tour was just the long distance, otherwise all the paths were very easy to walk on.

Today I decided to do another stage of the Sieg natural trail.
But I supplemented this hike with a visit to the Sieg waterfall at the beginning. It was really worth it.
This hike was really tough. It just went up and down. Sometimes even very steep.
But you have very varied routes and great views every now and then.
Unfortunately my GPS failed once in a while, so that there is a gap. You can see them on the straight line in the track. And just then it went steeply downhill and the notice that the route is not passable has been deliberately removed by others, so that I had to go over and under tree trunks to be able to continue. At the end, the notice could be seen. Anyway, it was kind of exciting.
This route was strenuous and is not suitable in very wet or snowy conditions. Now everything was dry and yet easily accessible.

I've always wanted to go around the Dhünntalsperre. So I looked for hiking trails at Komoot and found it with this hike.
It started from Kürten. The way around the dam is apparently only possible over the hills around it. There is also a riverside path, but this was cordoned off although the sign said that the path was open from March to October. I suspect that since it is a water protection area that this path will no longer be opened because too many people have done too much nonsense.
So just walk around the outside. But this path has it all. It goes up and down all the time.
The highlights are of course the vacancies. Once again I took a lot of pictures, including the vacancies and a lot of information boards.
It was a very strenuous hike, but also a very interesting one.
