The Oberkassel Bridge is the oldest of Düsseldorf's many bridges. A historic highlight: In 1976, the bridge was relocated 47.5 meters downstream, weighing 12,500 tons. Its current position certainly makes for spectacular shots of the city center.

The Oberkasseler bridge, although not in its present form, is the oldest of the Düsseldorf Rhine bridges for private transport. After the Hammer Railway Bridge, it is the second permanent bridge over the Rhine in Düsseldorf. The Oberkasseler bridge already had two predecessor buildings at the height of the old town, which were still constructed as ship bridges.
