The Hofgarten is the central park in Düsseldorf. It is located in the city center in the Stadtmitte and Pempelfort districts and has a total area of 27.73 hectares, of which 13 hectares are meadow areas. The park area extends from Jacobistraße with Jägerhof Palace and the adjacent Malkasten site to Heinrich-Heine-Allee in the old town and from Königsallee to the courtyard on the banks of the Rhine. Numerous historical monuments and modern sculptures enliven the park, which in terms of design marks the transition from the baroque garden style to the English landscape garden. The oldest part of the public courtyard garden was laid out in 1769. This makes the Düsseldorf Hofgarten Germany's first and oldest public garden.

A quiet garden in the middle of the lively city center. The Hofgartentassen, which were created in the course of the opening of the Kö-Bogen, offer a central meeting point on the water that connects the park landscape and the city.

A small beautiful park to enjoy. Black swans, which you don't see very often.
