Modern art collection and temporary exhibitions in a modernized building from the 19th century.
November 18, 2017
The exterior historical architecture is in contradiction to the modern interior design. A piazza with a white, Greek-modern-looking superstructure, views in the stairwells such as in Chambery Castle, arcaded corridors and a high glass dome roof make the tour through the building extremely exciting.
Until 1988, the building on the Kaiserteich was the seat of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament.
Exciting exhibitions of modern / contemporary art are available for € 12 / adult.

From 1880 to the 1930s, the Estates House was the parliament building of the Provincial Parliament of the Prussian Rhineland in Düsseldorf. From 1949 to 1988 it subsequently served as a conference venue for the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament. Today, as the K21 exhibition building, it houses the Contemporary Art Department of the North Rhine-Westphalia Art Collection.
