About Chris B.

Mache gerne Winterschlaf.

From Hilden via Unterbach and Gerresheim
past the Pillebach estuary in the northern Düssel in Gerresheim. Continue through Flingern and past the bike shop I trust.
      Then through the Südpark im
      Triangle D'dorf Bilk-Oberbilk-Wersten,
with its complete water supply through the southern Düssel.
      Continue along the Brückerbach
(also fed by the southern Düssel),
Himmelgeist, Castle Mickeln, Itter and Benrath on the Rhine, the confluence of the Itter into the Rhine and over the Alte Itter in Benrath,
as well as back between Menzel and Elbsee.

At the end of the steep "Schöne Aussicht" descent to Erkrath, down under the Neandertal bridge of the A3, there was only a loud "croak", but no more braking effect! Flat brake pads!
I found a nice place in the sun near the Düssel and started the repairs.
After everything was removed and I wanted to use the new pads, I realized with horror that the parts did not fit!
Everything reassembled and the tour canceled! Departure to the dealer / workshop I trust in D'dorf-Flingern (fahrrad.de). Mike from the workshop looked at the brake system and realized that I drive a rare combination where the two brake cylinders differ and also need different pads!
I could not know this when I placed my order in the I-Net!
Since the shop wanted € 6 for removing the wheel, € 8 for changing the pads and € 7.95 for the pads, I quickly installed the things myself, saving € 14 in 8 minutes!
The planned tour was of course "in the bucket", so I drove comfortably back home via small detours.
