Hiking

The cloister garden of the Cistercian abbey is an oasis full of flowers, herbs and useful plants. Whether Hildegard von Bingen, Permakultur or bee sauna: the environmental station offers pure nature experience - and all in front of the baroque backdrop of the monastery.

Nordic walking

The nature and adventure garden in the monastery town of Waldsassen has a wide range of activities for young and old. It offers the opportunity to experience nature with all of the senses: on the bee adventure trail, the water playground, the farm garden with herb spiral, the weather and climate adventure park and the Mariengarten, nature can be rediscovered with eyes, ears, nose, mouth and hands. Kayak and GPS device rental (for geocaching) ensure lots of fun after a relaxing stay in the garden.
Open from May to mid-October.
