The Schwanenwiese park is somewhat hidden in the middle of the historic old town of Waldsassen. It is framed by the longest surviving section of the monastery wall and can be reached via the passage at the tourist information. The original green belt of the old monastery settlement has been preserved to this day in the "Schwanenweiher" and the "Wildgarten". Charming views of the monastery and the abbey castle, the peace column and the monastery fountain by the Upper Palatinate artist Engelbert Süss accompany walkers on their way.
