About Ralf🚶⛰️ 🏕

Ms. Holle slept through the holidays again, but today it was finally time. It snowed! The white splendor literally encouraged people to take the lethargy out of their bones after the holidays and take a longer walk. It was just wonderful to walk through the snowy landscape and enjoy the fresh air.I wish you all a happy new year and lots of exciting hikes! Stay healthy!

Hoho Merry Christmas🎅I am also a bird that refrains from poultry, but not Alwin at all. He got my share of the Christmas roast. So that he doesn't look like a fat pig after the holidays, we went for a walk with his friend Fritzchen.

Short hike with Atze, Basti and of course Alwin. On the last hike, we quickly froze during the breaks. This time we were better prepared. We had a stove with us and there was mulled wine to warm up. Also fits perfectly into the Christmas season.
We went from Dahlewitz to the Rangsdorfer See and on via Jühnsdorf to the Blankenfelder "Staussee". From there back through the Jühnsdorfer Heide to Dahlewitz. There were surprisingly few people on the way and the weather was great
It was fun again!December 13, 2020

This time it went to Gottow, a neighboring town of Kummersdorf. We explored the area of the chemical-physical and atomic test center Gottow. At the time, atomic fission experiments were carried out there and the first rockets were developed there. Years later, rocket development was moved to Peenemünde. We didn't find the reactor, or what was left of it, but we did find all five missile test stands. There are still some buildings from the Red Army on the site. But these are not worth seeing. These are warehouses and garages. The area is not paved and there is no entry ban. There is still a lot to discover on the huge area of the research institute. Next time it's near Kummersdort-Alexanderdorf. I hope soon 😉de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versuchsstelle_Gottow

November weather and staying at home? No :-)This time it went from Wünsdorf via Zech am See to Baruth. In Wünsdorf we noticed immediately that the former hotel and restaurant Märkischer Hof had been demolished. The building had to make room for the expansion of the planned new ICE route. In Wünsdorf we hiked along the Great Wünsdorfer See. Very nicely located and some impressive villas line the shore. In front of Zesch am See we met a hunting community who are organizing a driven hunt, but the game was probably smarter. We only heard one shot. :-) At the Großer Zeschsee we took a longer rest. A little hint. A geocaching treasure is hidden near the monument. The rest of the way went through a large pine forest. We were amazed at how many mushrooms were still growing. Including a lot of porcini mushrooms and they were also maggot-free. Unfortunately we didn't have a mushroom basket with us. Really unfortunate. Before reaching Baruth, we passed the Baruth thermal power station and were impressed by the sheer size of the facility. In Baruth we got on the train again and drove home. Nice tour. Really recommend.

Today it was finally that time again. Atze, Basti and icke went on tour together again. We ran from Wünsdorf to Sperenberg and back. On the way to the gypsum lakes we went through a pine forest in the Brandenburg region. The kilometers rewound very relaxed and one or the other mushroom greeted us with its pretty face. At the lakes we took it easy and took a longer rest. We walked the last few kilometers parallel to the road to Wünsdorf, accompanied by happy cranes who trumpeted into the evening. In Wünsdorf at the church we met friends who also used the weather to go hiking. All in all, a super varied hike. We recommend.

Nice autumn weather should be used, so go ahead. Today we went to Kummersdorf. A small village south of Berlin. The military had been raging in the surrounding forests since the mid-19th century. Most recently it was the Red Army. They left in 1994.
In the aftermath of reunification, the idea of building BER there came up. Fortunately, the decision was made to go to Schönefeld.de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heeresversuchsanstalt_KummersdorfNovember 7, 2020

Alwin and I had the weekend off and no appointments, so we finally decided to visit Holger in Upper Lusatia. On Friday we drove off under poor weather conditions. Fortunately, it stopped raining on Saturday and we hiked through the Upper Lusatian pond landscape. The ponds were created for the breeding and rearing of carp and are still managed. Over the decades a very diverse nature has developed, a real ecological refuge. A real paradise for bird lovers and hobby ornithologists, but probably not for us. Apart from two swans and a couple of mallards, almost all of them had flown out, we only saw three lapwing maneuvers during their flight maneuvers. The hike was very nice and all three of us had our fun. In fact, Alwin was so cocky that he kept paddling and messing with a young bull. Then he had changed his mind.

The best autumn weather and what is Alwin (my dog) doing, arranging to go for a walk with his buddy Fritzchen (little Wippet).
So I had no choice but to ride my bike. It was exactly the right decision. 😊October 25, 2020

So my dear ones!
After an excellent breakfast in the hotel "Der Charlottenhof" we went on our last stage and followed the E9. But what is the E9? It is a European long-distance hiking trail and leads hikers from Estonia 🇪🇪 to Portugal 🇵🇹. A mere 5000km. Quite an announcement, but also very attractive.
The first stopover was Wustrow. It was many kilometers on the dam, there were countless cyclists. In contrast to yesterday, the autumn weather was beautiful and all the other tourists were on their way.
In Wustrow we left the cycle highway and took a break. Basti had the brilliant idea to write "Hello" with the GPS. He went to a meadow ran the word hello. Great :)
Somehow the weather god was excited about Basti's idea and stopped the wind. Thankful for that we walked happily the last few miles to Ribnitz-Damgarten.October 9, 2020
