According to the information board, the Hippelsteinchen is supposed to be very fidgety, but it's never been observed doing so. In any case, it's a very interesting rock formation! The name is quite funny for such a heavy rock 😄

From a geological point of view, the "Hippelsteinchen" is a dolomite and mushroom rock. Several blocks of dolomite are stacked on top of each other so that the rock formation resembles a mushroom, about 5 meters high and just as wide.
