The Bielenhof-Alm is located on all 3 Birgel circular hiking trails in the Hirschsattel hiking area. Those arriving by car will also find sufficient parking spaces. There are homemade cakes and all kinds of specialties from the region. Ideal for a little refreshment in between.
There is also a petting zoo on the site, as well as a milk filling station with a farm shop.

On all three Hirschbergsattel laps near Birgel you pass the Bielenhof-Alm. Hikers can stop here for homemade cakes and other specialties from the region. The Alm is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There is also a milk filling station where fresh milk is available around the clock, either fill it into your own containers or buy one of the reusable glass bottles on site. This also includes the farm shop with all kinds of regional products.

But especially for the children, the lovingly designed petting zoo with 7 enclosures with rabbits, guinea pigs, ponies, goats, chickens and much more is definitely the highlight. In the middle there is also a pond with goldfish and koi carp, as well as geese and ducks. The admission prices for the petting zoo are definitely reasonable (single ticket EUR 2.50, family ticket EUR 7.00, family annual ticket EUR 30.00)

Of course you don't just have to hike this highlight, there are also enough parking spaces available, Willi Basalt will show you the right way right on the street.

The Bielenhof Alm is located halfway along the circular trail if you start in Birgel. It's a great place to stop for a break. I was there on a Friday afternoon. Only self-service items from the refrigerator were available at the self-service checkout. You should also bring some change with you in case of emergency.
