Jenseits des Sees Bathing Area, Straussee

The bathing area has a small lawn on the other side of the circular hiking trail with an information board on which the results of the sampling and the water quality of the Straussee are certified (by the way, "Excellent", as of May 2020).
Some may see this as a negative: there is no parking space directly at the bathing area, not even on the bypass road. Nevertheless, it can get quite crowded here in summer.

If you cross the Straussee with the electrically operated passenger cable ferry, which is unique in Europe, to the forest side and follow the shore path in a southerly direction, you will come across a quiet and natural bathing area.

The bathing area is close to the ferry and is therefore easy to reach. At night, by moonlight, you have a wonderful view of the illuminated city.
