Very nice bathing area with lawn to lie on and sand access to the lake. The lake has very clear water and you can swim to the opposite side of the lake (it should be about 380 meters). There is also a sandy beach there and you can take a little break before swimming back.

The Straussee is a first-class swimming lake because of its water quality. The water level, which has been falling since 2014, is a cause for concern. Purely "by chance", the modernized Spitzmühle waterworks was put into operation at the same time with significantly increased production.
