There are not many ways to get to the shore on the eastern shore, but if it does, it is very nice there. There are many aquatic birds there, including gray geese, gray and white egrets and various ducks, e.g. Tufted ducks.

The Herrensee is a small natural paradise. Although I cycled him around by bicycle, I would recommend him to hikers because of the nature of the trails (morass, tree roots).

There is a very nice circuit around the lake. The way is good to walk. In "normal" summers but certainly only with mosquito repellent.

Some parts on the edge of the protected Lake Herrensee are sometimes dried out for years and then form more of a marshland. Here you have a great opportunity to observe insects, special plants and birds.

From the S-Bhf. Hegermühle can be easily reached after a short hike through the forest. The lake is on the 66 lakes hiking route and on the Way of St. James in Poland.

You can hardly get to the water, but the 4 km around the lake are a small and fine route, with lots of forest and absolute silence. Only the birds and the wind can be heard.

Everything is related to everything: sinking water level in Straussee and extremely dry summers mean no water in Annafließ, mean a sinking water level in Herrensee. Result: siltation.
