Unfortunately, Daggy is totally wrong here. The jetty at this point is the "Lakeside Jetty" and has nothing to do with the cable ferry. On the Straussee there is the passenger shipping company Rinast (the fisherman who lives here, by the way). The plan was that the ship could dock at this jetty, possibly also for charter trips to weddings at the Lakeside Hotel. However, the jetty is too narrow, the water is too shallow and there is no railing. As far as I know, the official approval is also missing and a ship has never docked here as planned 😣.
But Daggy is right about one thing: the Strausberger ferry is indeed unique in Europe.
