The youth movement, which was about freedom and self-determination, was banned during the Nazi era from 1935-1945. The young people should join the Hitler Youth. The youths who resisted and continued to get together and meet secretly were persecuted and imprisoned.

This sign is one of several stations that were set up in 2013 for the 100th anniversary of the Free German Youth Day to draw attention to the meetings that took place and their content.
