Hiking
Created by the district forester Gießer in Frankenhain from 1818-23. From 1821 the beds in the plant gardens were sown with maple, ash and spruce seeds. It is documented that 68,000 ash and 22,000 maple trunks were planted in 1823.

Why was an open space created that was leveled - when the other part of the "plant garden" is a sloping hill?
And why are there 3 paths leading through this part to the stone bench?
