Finally went stamp collecting in the Harz mountains again today. My daughter thinks my King's badge with the stone is so beautiful and wants one too. A day off with sunshine, perfect for being outdoors 😊

Last year, I walked the Keltenpfad (Celtic Trail) on the Öchsenberg at some point to collect the tour stamps. However, the second part over the Dietrichsberg and the third stamp (No. 97) of the tour were still missing.

I did that today.

Lots of forest

Today I continued my hike on the Werra-Burgen-Steig trail: Stage 5 from Ludwigstein Castle via the Habichtstein rock formation, to the Rosskopf Tower, and down to Ahrenberg. Today we continued on the Werra-Burgen-Steig trail, stage 4 from Witzenhausen to Ludwigstein Castle.



Perfect weather and company – my youngest joined me.



We skipped the section through Witzenhausen and started directly in the small field there.



Uphill towards Sulzberg, past cherry orchards, varied paths

Today the mountain biking season officially opened.



A short ride around the village after work.



Includes fantastic views and plenty of sunshine. And right on time for sunset at the Dornberg Pass 💚

Stamp tour in Thuringia:

I chose the loop around Frauensee, a sinkhole area with many dolines.



Mostly along forest roads, only the last section is a lovely forest path.



Overall, nothing special. No particular views, no highlights.



The stamp stations are located at rest areas/huts.

We went to the DAV climbing center in Kassel for some climbing. Or rather, climbing for the kid, since I have to belay. I even got my "Top-Rope Belaying" certification right after Christmas.
