The Bürgerturm was built around 1611, making it the first of the towers. It is the only tower that was built in the southern city wall and no longer consists of its basic substance. The building inscription bears the Pfeddersheim coat of arms, the year of construction and refers to Mattes Albrecht and Jakob Weickel, the mayors who held this office at the time of construction. The small house was lived in until it was renovated in 1999 and has since been used for local government events.
