A beautiful weir is located in the Protzbachtal. The Protzbach used to be used for drifting the wood with which the residents in the valley could be supplied with firewood. With the help of the weir, the water was dammed and so the logs could be pushed into the valley if necessary. Stone slabs, laid across the width of the stream, prevented damage to the stream bed.
