This is one of over 300 knight's stones of the Palatinate Forest Association. "The inscription of the Ritterstein is engraved on a large boulder on the side of the path [...]. Below the rock rises a spring that is set in a stone channel. The water flows parallel to the forest path a few tens of meters further north into the Leinbach. The fountain is a natural monument."
