Here you can still see the remains of an earlier quarry, in which stone was extracted for the walls of the Trift systems and the borders of the Legelbach during the times of the Holztrift.
Particularly suitable: the locking table legs are not made of wood, but sandstone!

Hiking
The extraction of stone for the timber-rafting facilities took place near the Legelbach valley, here on a sunny mountainside. Dry sandstone is harder than damp sandstone and does not break as easily during processing.
The raw stones were transported directly into the valley, where they were adapted and installed. You can still see remnants of stone processing in the terrain, mostly in the form of unusable material.
