If you come through Angermünde, a visit to the historic train station is a must. The impressive building, once an important transport hub in northeast Brandenburg, is now used as a residential building and also houses holiday apartments. The facade tells the story of steam locomotives and travelers from times gone by.

The station was opened in 1842 and was a hub for routes to Berlin, Stettin, Stralsund and Schwedt. Although many of the old tracks no longer exist, the building has retained its historic charm. The restored details are interesting for history buffs and architecture lovers.
