The Leopoldina is one of the oldest science academies in the world. Founded in 1652, it is committed to free science for the benefit of people and the shaping of the future. With around 1,500 members, the Leopoldina unites outstanding scientists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and numerous other countries.
