The Cemetery of the March Fallen is a cemetery in the Volkspark Friedrichshain in the Friedrichshain district of Berlin. It was created for the victims of the March Revolution of March 18, 1848, the March fallen. In 1925, the Berlin architect Ludwig Hoffmann redesigned the complex and brought it into the existing three-sided form. Further transformations took place in 1948 and 1957.
After the November Revolution of 1918, the first Berlin soldiers who died in this uprising were buried here.

Since then, the cemetery of the March Fallen has been an outstanding memorial to the events of 1848/49, in addition to the Frankfurt Paulskirche and the Rastatt Fortress. The cemetery can be reached from Landsberger Allee, following the Ernst-Zinna-Weg. In addition to 24 simple tombstones, memorial pillars made of cast iron, created by factory workers of the Borsig Works, can be seen there. Also 33 victims of the November Revolution 1918 were buried here. At the entrance stands since 1960, the "Red Sailor" by Hans Kies.
