The Ideenhaus with the "Blue Tower" and the "Burning Wall", the Art & Museum and the Atelier of Axel Luther belong to the center of the Hollfeld art and culture scene. Formerly here was the brewery Weiße Taube, which was founded in 1769 and finished its operation in 1974.
Opening hours: Sunday from 2pm to 4pmThe "Blue Tower"
With the design of the brewery tower of the brewery "Weiße Taube" to the "Blue Tower", an art project was realized in Upper Franconia. The façade was designed by the Eckersdorf artist Thomas Brix in various shades of blue, gold and silver and since 2006 has been a new attraction of Hollfeld. At night the building is illuminated. The lighting design was taken over by the FH Coburg. The "Burning Wall"
The front page of the Ideenhaus was designed in 2008 by the artist Axel Luther as "Burning Wall". Here you can see hunting scenes from earlier history. Especially worth seeing is the "burning wall" at night, as it is also illuminated."Art museum"
Since 2000, the arts have boiled on 360 m² of exhibition space in the former Hollfelder brewery of the Weiße Taube. On the upper floor, an old dental practice, a hairdressing salon, a watchmaker's workshop and an extensive ski collection are shown in museum corners. Changing quarterly exhibitions present works of art in the gray and red hall on the ground floor. Also, part of the International Art Exhibition takes place here in the summer. A gallery with loans from Franconian artists has been set up in the staircase.
Opposite the art and museum is the Cafe Moritz with an antique ambience.
The art and museum is open: Sunday from 2pm to 4pmArtist Studios & Sculptors
Various art workshops are located around the Eiergasse, such as the studio of the sculptor and painter Axel Luther, the pottery "Keramik im Blauen Haus" and the Café Moritz, in which sculptures for outdoor use made of various materials by the artist Christian Degen are.
