Hedwig Courths-Mahler was born on February 18, 1867 in Nebra, she died on November 26, 1950 in Tegernsee, her real name was Ernestine Friederike Elisabeth née Mahle and she was a German writer. She wrote over 200 romance novels, which were very popular during her lifetime and are still available in abridged form as periodicals to this day. Her most successful works, with a total circulation of over 100,000 copies during her lifetime, were created between 1910 and 1926. (Source: Wikipedia)
