Güstritz is a very beautiful and well-preserved Rundlingsdorf.
In the middle of the village square there is a great playground for children and a rest stop. If you're lucky, the bike parlor, a small, fine bike shop, is open.

The place name derives from the Slavic term gäustar (= lizard). from. The place was first mentioned in documents in 1343. For the year 1848 it is stated that Güstritz had 39 residential buildings in which lived 243 inhabitants. At the time, the place was parish to Satemin, where the school was. [4] The southern part of the village burned down in 1850 and was rebuilt as a row with 13 hall houses. On December 1, 1910 Güstritz had in the district Lüchow 230 inhabitants. On 1 July 1972 Güstritz was incorporated to Wustrow.
