The large observation stand offers a unique view of the extraordinary diversity of the Brietz ponds. The valuable wetland habitat for migratory and breeding birds offers excellent living conditions for meadow and reed breeders, such as marsh harriers, snipes and water rails. Sea eagles, cranes and black storks also find plenty of food here. In winter, Nordic geese and whooper swans use the waters as a place to sleep. With a bit of luck you can also see otters and beavers, which have resettled in this area.

Here you are well protected from all weathers. Can watch the waterfowl well. For nature lovers who want to see more, it is advisable to take binoculars with you.
The ponds are well frequented by several species of birds.
We could see cranes, swans, ducks and geese. Smaller species are sure to be present as well. But it's too far away for the naked eye.
