Anyone who wants to get the tower diploma has to climb the 112 steps anyway, but even without the tower diploma, a trip here is worthwhile: once you get to the top, you have a great panoramic view of the area around Bad Freienwalde. You can also see the Niederfinow boat lift from here.

The Bismarck Tower, built in 1895, stands between Bad Freienwalde and Falkenberg, on the foundation walls of the historic Malchow Castle.
