Hiking Highlight
The brick water tower was built at the beginning of the 19th century on the Marienberg to maintain the water pressure in the higher houses Strausbergs upright. Until the turn of the day, he did his duty reliably, then he was shut down. Today it can only be visited on individual days of the year. From the top you have a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.

Hello Sebastian, as a "native" I have to get something right here. The tower was built in 1910 (can also be seen directly above the door). That would not be until the beginning of the 20th century. Everything else is correct, but unfortunately I have never been upstairs.

The way to the tower is quite nice and you can walk a little bit uphill and downhill, which is rather rare in Brandenburg. The view is okay, but you won't tell your grandchildren about it 😉
