On recommendation rose and it was worth it. Not only the view, but also very beautiful paths.
The climb to the Altusknipp is definitely worth it. A great view from the summit towards the Eifel

One of the highest elevation in the Mechernicher Stadtgebiet. In the years 2017 and 18, the upper part unfortunately fell victim to the flames. Therefore, many trees still look charred.

At the end of June 2017 there was a forest fire on the Altusknipp. The consequences are clearly visible!

Super nice view in clear weather

Very nice vantage point at 375 m above sea level. A visit is worthwhile, especially since the way there is neither strenuous nor particularly demanding.

From here you have a great view towards Kall.
Only fire should not be played here as the burned earth and trees prove. There is no fire-fighting water up here and the fire department would have to lay long hose lines.

Beautiful area, great soft hiking trails. Very varied and you will be rewarded by the great view from the Altusknipp.
